ASSIGNMENT #09 SIMULATED LIVE ASSIGNMENT

Due Monday March 30th
(may have time in class to work on this today)

PART 1
this is NOT a real story, for exercise purposes only…

STORY SUBJECT: The college has announced the possibility of mass layoffs for faculty and staff at the college. Assignment is to make photographs of campus employees doing their jobs, to accompany story. Each student will be responsible for different subject.

Discuss possible photo-op’s in class.

-Find someone doing their job, and photograph them, preferably in-action. In some cases photograph them first, then approach them and ask them for information to complete an informational caption. Ask: Who, what, when, where, why.

-Find a good visual.
-Make interesting documentary photos. use flash if necessary. Make well composed, photos, that give a strong sense of the person and their job. Get something you can use.

-Submit (5) edited images to DROP folder, including:
(1) wide angle, (1) telephoto, (1) detail, (1) over-all establishing shot.
Be sure to caption and slug correctly.
